Battle reenactment is the recreation of historic events, often on the original sites. Sometimes it is not a specific event but to demonstrate the tactics and techniques employed in combat at the time, or the use of weapons. It is a way of making history solid. We also employ living history to paint a picture of life in barracks or on campaign, using displays and demonstrations to show the public cooking, drill, music, duties and general life.

The reenactors come from diverse backgrounds and a wide geographic area. We have members who work in the West End as technicians, museum curators, students, gardeners, computer programmers, teachers, bank clerks and retired soldiers. Many live in London and the South East but we also have members in Scotland, Yorkshire, Dorset, Belgium and Germany. All have different interests within the hobby from historical research, to cooking, music to using a flintlock, travel to costume making.
